How Blue Light Services Succeed Together
Terror attacks and major incidents test every aspect of the emergency services—leadership, communication, trust, and inter-agency capability. This senior panel brings together national leaders from across the Blue Light Services to reflect on what truly makes collaboration work when everything is at stake. Drawing on experience from real-world incidents, the speakers will explore the barriers that still exist between organisations and the behaviours that break them down. Delegates will gain strategic insight into how executive leadership, shared accountability, and cultural alignment create the conditions for effective, life-saving partnership.
Don’t Look Down – The Inspiration Behind Martyn’s Law and the Need to Move the Legislation Forward
This powerful session tells the human story behind Martyn’s Law. Figen Murray shares the personal journey that followed the Manchester Arena attack and the tireless campaign to ensure no family endures the same preventable loss. More than a call to action, this is a reminder of why legislation matters. Delegates will leave with a renewed sense of urgency—and a clear understanding of why moving this law forward quickly is not just necessary, but vital.
Lessons Learned from the Salisbury Inquiry
At the start of March 2018, two agents of the Russian Military Intelligence Agency, the GRU, travelled to Salisbury under alias. In a brazen act of international terrorism, they used a lethal chemical warfare agent, Novichok, in an attempt to assassinate a former Russian citizen and his daughter. Both were poisoned, alongside first responders, but all survived this initial incident. Subsequently, the Novichok, disguised as perfume, was discovered by an innocent member of the public who shared it with his partner, Dawn Sturgess, whose death followed shortly after being poisoned. Dominic Murphy QPM, the former Commander of SO15 and senior investigating officer in charge of the investigation in Salisbury will explore the challenges of the emergency response, the investigation into a Russian intelligence agency, accountability through a Public Inquiry and what this incident has taught us about state threats in the UK.
JESIP in action – making great joint working happen everyday
This session will provide a direct look at how the JESIP principles and a culture of joint working can be applied all the time on the frontline. Get top tips from expert practitioners and learn how you can work together with your partners to save lives and reduce harm in your community.
Women in Blue Light - Stories of Leadership, Resilience, and Change
This inspiring panel brings together outstanding women from across the Blue Light Services to share powerful stories of leadership, resilience, and impact. From frontline response to strategic command, the speakers will reflect on the moments that shaped their careers, the barriers they have faced, and the change they are driving within traditionally male-dominated environments. Above all, this session is designed to inspire. It celebrates progress, acknowledges the work still to be done, and sends a clear message: talent, courage, and leadership know no gender.

A fabulous event collaborating with each other for the betterment of the Emergency Services! It was a pleasure to be asked to be a part of it.
A wide range of professions with a shared commitment to collaboration, learning and best practice. Some really valuable discussions.
The conference schedule, speakers and demos offered something for everyone. We were fortunate to make some very valuable connections and reconnect with existing clients, as well as having the chance to meet people from sectors we don’t usually have the chance to see. We’ve concluded the show with a long list of enquiries to nurture and hopefully grow into something exciting.
So many inspirational speakers, supported by top quality vendors. Well done to the team for putting on a great show!
It’s been really good to meet up with new customers, having end users come along, having their feedback. It’s invaluable for us to develop the products and the services that we provide.
Fascinating range of speakers covering topics that were both important and relevant to all areas of the emergency services. Really inspiring to watch! An amazing range of stands from a variety of organisations left me with a bag full of business cards and opportunities to explore.
Well done for an absolutely incredible launch event. Great speakers, visitor footfall and exhibitors all speak highly of it.
