Emma Woods-Bolger is Chief Executive Officer of the Blue Light Card Foundation, leading the charity’s work to improve the mental and physical wellbeing and resilience of the UK’s emergency services, NHS staff and wider blue light community. Under her leadership, the Foundation has expanded its national portfolio of wellbeing programmes, supporting thousands of frontline workers through innovative, evidence-informed initiatives focused on prevention, recovery and long-term resilience. With extensive experience in the charitable and community foundation sector, Emma has successfully led organisations in securing significant funding, developing strategic partnerships and delivering sustainable social impact. Her career has been dedicated to strengthening communities, building collaborative networks and creating opportunities that improve lives. Emma is a passionate advocate for the people behind the uniform and has helped position the Blue Light Card Foundation at the forefront of conversations around workplace wellbeing, trauma recovery and the role of nature-based and community-led support alongside traditional services. Drawing on both professional expertise and a personal connection to emergency service roles through her family, she is committed to ensuring those who dedicate their lives to helping others have access to the support they need to thrive.
