Barry Palmer

Chairman , Terrorism Information Networking Group (TiNYg)

Barry Palmer BEM is a senior security and counterterrorism professional with more than three decades of experience in protective security, risk management, resilience, and public safety. A former member of the armed forces, he has worked extensively across the public and private sectors, leading security strategy and resilience initiatives in partnership with law enforcement agencies, government bodies, healthcare organisations, and international stakeholders.

He currently serves as Chairman of the Terrorism Information Networking Group (TiNYg) where he promotes and leads the strategic board on collaboration between security professionals and law enforcement agencies.

Under his leadership, TiNYg has expanded its international engagement, education programmes, and public-private partnership initiatives focused on counterterrorism awareness and protective security delivering keynote speeches and workshops in the US, Asia, Europe and Africa.

In 2023, he was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in the King’s Birthday Honours for services to the Royal Family, counterterrorism, security, and Operation London Bridge. He has also received the Freedom of the City of London in recognition of his contribution to community safety and crime reduction initiatives.
