David joined Venture Security as Director of People Services following an extensive career in policing, where he held several senior leadership positions across local and national law enforcement and emergency services. With 30 years of experience, he has a strong background in strategic leadership, people development, and operational management.

Prior to joining Venture Security, David served as Chief Superintendent with Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Joint Protective Services, overseeing specialist policing units, including armed policing, public order/Public safety (POPS), Road’s Policing, dog units and civil contingencies. He also led on local policing and community engagement initiatives, working closely with partner agencies to improve public service delivery. Most recently, as Head of the National JESIP Team, he played a key role in enhancing multi-agency collaboration across the UK’s emergency responder organisations.

He oversees all aspects of recruitment, learning, and development, including the growth of Venture Training & Consultancy (VTAC) as a leading training provider in the security industry. David is one of our most experienced consultants and is available to advise clients on a range of security and policing matters.
