Karen Hutchinson

Response Inspector, Hertfordshire Police Constabulary

Karen has 21 years of frontline policing experience across various districts of Hertfordshire, progressing from Police Constable to Inspector. Recently moving from response into Neighbourhood Policing, she is passionate about community engagement and partnership working. Karen has also served as a Federation Representative and Wellbeing Representative, supporting colleagues across the force.

Trained in Disaster Victim Identification and Structured Debriefing, she brings valuable specialist expertise. In 2023, Karen helped introduce the Swapping Hats scheme to Hertfordshire, facilitating over 300 inter-agency exchanges and strengthening collaboration between partner organisations.
