Founder, Fire Fighters Podcast

I’m an operational Watch Commander within the UK fire and rescue service and joined the fire service as soon as possible when I turned 18. I’m also the founder of the Firefighters Podcast & the UK based Pink Firefighters.

My big WHY in both my job as a firefighter, communicator/speaker & as a fundraiser, comes from trying to make a difference in the world.

With an entrepreneurial itch from a young age I have ran many businesses and in 2020 started the Firefighters Podcast. It's now a global podcast which has reached over 500,000 listeners and growing every day. Our ongoing aim sits in seeking to develop, inspire, connect, motivate, represent & celebrate the world of our emergency services operators through a series of wide-ranging conversations celebrating those within our emergency services family and encouraging the support of this incredible group of people.

I speak with individuals from all walks of life who share a connection with, can add value to, or can develop those who choose this life path.

Our driving purpose is to create a legacy resource for the current and future generations of firefighters & first responders.

My role leading the pink firefighters started in 2021 and we plan challenges throughout the year for breast cancer charities because we’ve all been affected by the disease in one way or another. Over the years I have pursued many physical challenges competing nationally and internationally representing my country in 3 disciplines. I transitioned into firefighter fitness competitions as my goals changed and have won multiple medals and now host The British Firefighter Challenge and Welsh Firefighter Challenges in the UK which are platforms where we also promote the awareness of the pink firefighters.

“Kicking down doors for others to walk through”

I always tell colleagues we are temporary custodians for the Fire Service. I feel we have an opportunity, obligation and limited time to support where we can & make a difference.  It’s so important that people see the crucial role first responders lay in our communities. The podcast aims to seize this opportunity to stand together and celebrate first responders as well as encourage other to pursue a career in the sector. I’m always up for putting myself out there, creating opportunities & Kicking down doors for others to walk through and I truly believe the world needs more of this, it needs more of you, your ideas, your passion, your creativity and your unique perspective on how to help fix the problems we all face.
