Emergency Medicine Demonstrations with London’s Air Ambulance

Join London’s Air Ambulance at the Blue Light Show 2026 for a series of live clinical demonstrations showcasing advanced prehospital emergency care techniques used in some of the most critical incidents across the capital.

Delivered by experienced clinicians, these sessions will provide practical insight into life-saving interventions including haemorrhage control and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) in out of hospital cardiac arrest scenarios.

Enhanced Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest Management - ECMO in partnership with London’s Air Ambulance

Hosted by clinicians from London’s Air Ambulance (LAA), this session will be focussed on the enhanced care brought to out of hospital cardiac arrest patients by the LAA Endovascular Cardiac Arrest Team (ECAT). The team will demonstrate close working with members of the public and other emergency services, to ensure high quality resuscitation is carried out prior to providing extracorporeal membrane oxygenation in the prehospital phase of care to help improve survival.

Emergency Medicine - Haemorrhage Control in partnership with London’s Air Ambulance

Hosted by clinical colleagues from London’s Air Ambulance (LAA), this session will be focussed on the initial interventions for mass haemorrhage wounds. The team will demonstrate wound packing and haemorrhage control techniques, and give an insight into what someone first on scene could do in a similar scenario.
