Level 4 Intelligence Analyst

Mercury Training Stand: AT-T46
The Level 4 Intelligence Analyst Apprenticeship is designed for professionals who gather, assess and interpret information to support operational and strategic decision-making. Suitable for those working in security, law enforcement, risk management, fraud prevention, finance, military and intelligence environments, the programme develops the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to become an effective intelligence analyst.

Learners will explore the full intelligence cycle, intelligence sources, and the legal and secure handling of sensitive information. The programme also covers structured analytical techniques, including pattern, trend, network and geospatial analysis, alongside critical thinking methods that help reduce bias and improve the quality of intelligence assessments.

Delivered over 17 months, the apprenticeship combines monthly masterclasses, workplace-based projects and one-to-one support from a dedicated Skills Coach. By the end of the programme, apprentices will be able to transform complex data into meaningful intelligence products, communicate evidence-based findings confidently and support informed decision-making within their organisation.

Successful learners will achieve the Level 4 Intelligence Analyst Apprenticeship Standard and will be awarded a Pass or Distinction grade following End-Point Assessment.
