The Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship is designed for professionals responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering projects and contract mobilisations within security, facilities management and operational settings. Whether supporting project delivery, leading mobilisations or stepping into a dedicated project management role, learners will gain the knowledge and practical skills needed to manage projects confidently from initiation through to completion.
Throughout the programme, apprentices develop a strong understanding of the project lifecycle, governance frameworks and the secure, compliant handling of client, workforce and site information. They will learn essential project management techniques including scope management, scheduling, resource planning, budgeting, risk management, quality assurance and performance monitoring.
The apprenticeship also focuses on stakeholder engagement, communication, negotiation and influencing skills, enabling learners to build strong relationships with clients, regulators, subcontractors and internal teams. Participants will gain experience producing professional project documentation, reports and presentations that support informed decision-making and successful project outcomes.
Delivered over 17 months, the programme combines monthly masterclasses, workplace-based projects and one-to-one support from a dedicated Skills Coach. Successful apprentices will achieve the Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship Standard, graded Pass or Distinction, with the option to undertake the CMI Level 4 Award in Management & Leadership to further enhance their professional development.
