Keynius helps Blue Light organisations secure every critical handover

Keynius UK Ltd Stand: R71
Keynius helps Blue Light organisations secure every critical handover

Following The Blue Light Show 2026 at Olympia London, Keynius is helping police, emergency services, healthcare providers, and public-safety organisations replace keys, paper records, and manual handovers with secure, traceable smart-storage workflows.

In Blue Light environments, securing an item is only part of the challenge. Teams must also be able to establish who accessed it, when it was collected or returned, which permissions were used, and whether anything still requires attention.

Keynius brings these access events together in one configurable platform. Permission-based authentication, two-factor access, automated notifications, and complete audit trails help organisations protect sensitive items while giving authorised users faster access when it matters.

Protect evidence with a defensible chain of custody

Evidence workflows require more than a locked room or cabinet. Every deposit, collection, return, and access event must be controlled and traceable.

Keynius evidence lockers can provide sealed compartments, permission-based access, timestamped records, and end-to-end tracking. This gives evidence and property teams a clearer history of each handover while reducing reliance on shared keys, sign-out sheets, and staff-assisted access.

Control access to weapons and restricted equipment

Weapons, armoury equipment, radios, body-worn devices, keys, PPE, and other critical assets must be available to the right people without weakening security.

Keynius supports configurable access rules, RFID credentials, PINs, QR codes, and two-factor authentication. Rights can be managed centrally, while every transaction is recorded automatically.

At Zone Police Midi Brussels, Keynius helped establish a centrally managed access model across 2,800 smart lockers. The deployment includes 1,100 office lockers and 752 weapon safes with two-factor access, bringing different storage requirements together under one controlled system.

Make prescription collection accessible and traceable

Keynius supports secure prescription collection for hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies. Patients can collect medication using authenticated self-service workflows, including PIN and QR credentials, while pharmacy teams retain oversight of deposits, collections, returns, and unclaimed items.

At King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, a 153-locker workflow supports patient collection, patient returns, clinic collection, and clinic returns. Patients can collect repeat prescriptions around the clock without entering the outpatient pharmacy, reducing dependence on staffed counter handovers while preserving a clear digital record.

One platform for multiple Blue Light workflows

Because Keynius combines locker hardware, software, access management, operational data, integrations, and support, organisations can manage multiple workflows without creating a separate control system for every storage requirement.

  • Evidence deposit, collection, and return
  • Weapons and armoury storage
  • Radios, body-worn devices, and operational equipment
  • Prescription collection and medication returns
  • Keys, PPE, uniforms, personal storage, and shared assets
  • Central rights management, monitoring, notifications, and audit logs across multiple locations

Keynius systems are configurable around an organisation’s existing processes, security requirements, access-control infrastructure, and physical environment. Deployments can use new locker walls, partner-manufactured cabinets, or existing cabinets through retrofit projects.
