Peace of Mind: Now a registered Community Interest Company
Peace of Mind is dedicated to supporting mental wellbeing through angling, particularly for emergency services personnel, NHS staff, veterans, and the wider angling community. Our aim is to create safe, supportive environments where people can step away from the pressures of frontline work, reconnect with others, and improve their mental wellbeing through time spent outdoors and by the water.
Through MPAS and Peace of Mind, we are currently developing:
• Wellbeing and social fishing events for frontline workers
• Beginner and taster days to encourage participation and reduce isolation
• Peer support and buddy schemes
• Educational resources around wellbeing and angling
• Partnerships with fisheries, sponsors, and organisations who share similar values
• Fundraising initiatives to improve accessibility and opportunities for those who may benefit most
Peace of Mind operates as a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, ensuring that all funds raised are reinvested into expanding access to angling-based wellbeing initiatives. Led by the Metropolitan Police Angling Society, the campaign is built on a simple belief: that time in nature, shared experiences, and supportive peer networks can play a meaningful role in improving mental health, one cast at a time.
