What Else Events Triumphs at EN Indy Awards, Winning Three Industry Awards for The Blue Light Show
London, 17 October 2025 – What Else Events Limited has been recognised with three major awards at the Exhibition News Indy Awards, held on Friday at the QEII Centre, celebrating excellence and innovation among independent organisers.
The company received:
· Best Indy Event Director – Carmela Coop-Rodia, What Else Events
· Content Programme of the Year – The Blue Light Show
· The Grand Prix Award (Indy Organiser of the Year) – What Else Events Limited
These wins mark a major milestone not just for the organisers but for the entire blue light community. The Blue Light Show was created by the sector, for the sector – built in partnership with emergency services leaders to address critical challenges facing those who protect the public.
A Platform Built for the Sector, by the Sector
In its inaugural year, The Blue Light Show delivered:
· 3,249 senior emergency services professionals with over £2.9bn in combined purchasing power
· A world-class programme in collaboration with a senior advisory board which truly shaped an event for the sector, by the sector
· 91 sessions led 116 expert speakers
· 50 hands-on training sessions delivered throughout different interactive zones
· 122 leading suppliers and innovators across 3,747 sqm
· An industry-leading 72% exhibitor rebook rate onsite
The show brought together police, fire, ambulance, and supporting communities in the most senior gathering of its kind in the UK, providing a unified platform for collaboration, operational innovation and national resilience.
“It’s such an incredible feeling to see The Blue Light Show recognised in this way. From day one, the aim was to build something the emergency services could truly call their own, an event that’s meaningful, impactful and genuinely collaborative. Winning three awards, including the Grand Prix, is such a proud moment for our whole team and everyone who’s supported us along the way. It means so much to see the hard work and
heart behind the show recognised, and it’s only made me more determined to make 2026 even better.”
Driving Real-World Change in Public Safety
From the announcement of Martyn’s Law by Figen Murray OBE, to live incident simulations and frontline training, the award-winning content programme was designed to deliver tangible outcomes that shape future policy, operational readiness and threat mitigation.
Looking Ahead: The Blue Light Show 2026
Building on this momentum, The Blue Light Show returns on 1–2 July 2026 at Olympia London, with major new features including:
· Exclusive Martyn’s Law Conference Stream
· Public Safety & Threat Mitigation Zone
· Forensics Expo Europe
· Critical Comms & Tech Zone
· Emergency Fleet & Mobility Zone
These additions will further position the event as the national platform where the future of emergency response, threat prevention and public protection is shaped.
