Public Safety and Threat Mitigation
In this session, Travis will outline the role that survivors of terrorism and former extremists can play in preventing and countering the spread of violent extremism, and how blue light agencies can utilise their voices as credible messengers for community cohesion and change at the grassroots level. He will share a personal insight into his own experience as a survivor of terrorism, and provide an overview of the work that his organisation, Resilience in Unity, is doing to combat the spread of extremism and radicalisation
