This session explores the experiences of the Emergency Capabilities Unit (ECU) Education Team in providing safe training experiences against the backdrop of a changing UK climate, where weather extremes are consistently becoming the norm. It is relevant to anyone responsible for training emergency responder teams in PPE.  The talk will provide a candid reflection on the development & implementation of a heat illness prevention, mitigation and treatment strategy, centred on safely training operatives in a range of different PPE ensembles.
