Equality, Diversity, & Inclusion does not exist in a vacuum. It is shaped—and often constrained—by financial pressure, political context, and competing operational demands. This session explores how Blue Light organisations can continue to make meaningful progress on ED&I in a climate of tightening budgets and shifting priorities. The panel will examine what “good” looks like when resources are stretched, how leaders can protect momentum, and where ED&I delivers measurable operational value. Delegates will leave with a clearer understanding of how inclusion can be embedded as a core organisational strength rather than treated as a discretionary add-on.
