Martyn's Law

Martyn’s Law - the countdown to compliance has begun. This high-impact panel brings together senior security leaders from some of the UK’s most high-profile and heavily scrutinised venues, including Manchester Arena, The O2 and the NEC, to share what preparation looks like in the real world. This is not theory. Expect practical insight into securing budgets, gaining stakeholder buy-in, training teams, strengthening threat assessment processes, and deploying screening technologies across complex, high-footfall environments. Panellists will discuss what drove early investment decisions, what challenges they encountered, and what they would do differently if starting again today.

The discussion will also tackle proportionality — the biggest challenge for smaller premises. What does “reasonable” security look like under Tier 1 obligations, and what funding options, grants or innovative models could make meaningful protection achievable for all.
