From Apathy to Action: Re-Energising the Frontline Under Pressure of Constant Change
Frontline professionals across the blue-light services are facing unprecedented levels of change—new structures, new technologies, new priorities—often layered one on top of another. This session explores the human impact of constant reform and the growing sense of apathy and “change fatigue” felt by many on the frontline. Drawing on operational and leadership experience and academic understanding the panel will examine how organisations can recognise burnout, rebuild trust, and re-engage teams who feel worn down by perpetual transformation. Attendees will gain insight into practical leadership approaches that sustain morale, resilience, and performance in high-pressure environments.
